PlugPause is a small, independent site about using a phone on purpose. It covers digital detox, dumb phones and the practical mechanics of cutting screen time without cutting yourself off from banking, maps or the people you actually want to hear from.

How the articles get made

Claims about networks, carriers and devices are sourced to the company that made the decision, not to a roundup of other blogs. When an article says a network shut down on a date, that date comes from the carrier. Where the evidence is thin, the article says so instead of rounding up to a promise.

Articles get revised when the facts move. 2G and 3G shutdowns, app support ending, new handsets: any of those can make a correct article wrong within months, so updated pieces carry an update date at the top.

What this site will not do

No shame, no abstinence pledges, no claim that a phone is ruining your brain. Most people do not want to leave the internet, they want to stop losing two hours a day to it. That is the problem this site works on.
